Now—why the cat in bread? That’s my guy, Benny. After surgery, he needed one of those cone-of-shame collars, but instead of the boring plastic kind, I got him one shaped like a loaf of bread. One day I was talking with a client about the Burnt Toast Theory and pulled up a picture of Benny’s cute little face peeking through the “bread.” We laughed, and I said, “I should turn him into burnt toast so you’ll always remember this theory.”
