The Fortune Teller Tattoo

You remember those little paper fortune tellers we used to make as kids? You’d pick a number, flip the flaps, and wait for fate to unfold. On Friday the 13th, I went to one of those tattoo shop specials where you choose from a handful of flash designs. One of the options was this fortune teller, and I went for it.

Here’s the cool part: it wasn’t until after I got the tattoo that I realized the deeper connection. Instead of the usual mix of numbers, I asked them to put 2 on every flap. And it hit me—no matter how the fortune teller unfolds, no matter what you pick, it always lands on 2.
